Obituary of Barbara Hurley Holohan

Barbara (Hurley) Holohan passed away suddenly June 19, 2017. Born in Lockport December 22, 1968 she is the daughter of Dr. John Hurley and the late Betsy (Glaser) Hurley who predeceased her June 21, 2008. Barbara was a graduate from Lockport High School where was on the both the swim team and track team, she then furthered her education at Cornell University where she was also on the track team, earning her degree in law and went on to University of Buffalo earning her JD/MDA. Barbara was a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association. She enjoyed reading, swimming and was an animal lover. "Barbara was so wonderfully feisty and witty --so much her own person."
Besides her father Barbara is also survived by her husband Michael K. Holohan; brothers, Dr. Clifford Hurley and Daniel (Barbara McQuade) Hurley; and thirteen nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, June 23rd from 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 24th at 10 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Memorial donations to the Newfane Public Library would be appreciated.
