Roytha L. Bedford passed away June 5, 2017 in Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Born in Lockport on July 17, 1952 she was the daughter of Roy and Ruth (Myers) Bedford. Roytha worked at Verizon for 20 years retiring in 1997 and also at Johnny C's NY Deli & Catering in Amherst and Bernardi's Rapid Mart. She is survived by her siblings Jerry Bedford, Peggy (late Michael) McCarthy, Joyce (late Rick) Bartek, and late Eileen Szarafin; her nephews Jamie Szarafin, Nick Bartek, Derrick Bartek, Dylan Herrick, and Daniel McCarthy; also several great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 17th from 3-7 PM with services following at 7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Roswell Park Cancer Institute would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
