I was shocked and terribly saddened when I heard the news. Amy was one of my oldest friends. I think we met in 7th grade and stayed close through high school, college, and beyond. A more warm, funny, and genuine person would be hard to find. While we had drifted in and out of touch in recent years, every time we got back to each other things snapped right back, as if we were teenagers again, driving around in her gold Saturn and heading to the mall. I would like send my deepest condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell, Jonathan, and all of Amy's family and (very, very large) circle of friends.

I was so shocked and saddened to read of Amy's passing today. I had the honor of being a lifeguard at Briarwood pool to watch over her and John as they were growing up. She was always there with a giant smile on her face, up for fun at all times and wanted to lend a helping hand whenever possible. Her sense of humor was a precious gift as well as the bright light that surrounded her. She was an angel on Earth and is now watching steadfastidly over you in Heaven. My sincerest condolences and prayers for your comfort are extended to you and every other soul that she touched with her grace.

To the family and friends of Amy,
I'm stunned and sadden by her passing. Amy was a gentle soul, who saw the best in everybody and wanted the best for everyone. Saying she left a positive legacy is such an understatement, as she was dynamic and truly a special person. She will be missed by her family and friends, but equally as much by this community, where she poured her heart into. Truly, Amy was a beautiful person, both inside and outside. I'll miss her infectious smile, sense of humor and quick wit.
My sincere condolences,
Michael Kelly

Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell and Jonathan, I am so very sorry for the loss of your dear daughter/sister. I worked with Amy at Hospice where she was a vital part of the organization. She was an energetic spirit topped off with a captivating, sincere smile! Though she worked at a fast-moving pace, she always made time to help out a co-worker. She approached life with vigor. She was charismatic. She was unforgettable. I was blessed with her friendship.

Amy was a true gift to the world and to her Hospice family, which is where I knew her. Her smile brought joy and comfort to many, and just seeing her some days made me feel better. She always had a positive attitude about issues and obstacles and was very helpful on a daily basis. Since her office was near our Nursing Home Team, she became very close to us and our struggles, offering support, encouragement, and humor. Heaven receives her with joy and song.

Amy is someone I've known since the 5th grade. In the last ten years or so, we reconnected through mutual friends from school. The four of us have continued to celebrate our friendship by dinners every few months, text messages, phone calls and of course Amy's annual "After the Holidays Party". She was always one of the smartest, funniest and fierce women I have ever met. The laughs us girls would have at every gathering were nothing short of epic. Amy touched so many people. She gave so much of herself to anyone who needed it. I feel lucky to have known her, and I know she'll be with us always. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Amy was an incredible person and was definitely on this earth to bring people together. I was one year behind Amy at LHS. Her always friendly smile and bubbly personality were so inviting, which was wonderfully perfect to find during those crazy teenage years where kids always seemed so divided. She didn't clique in... she was everyone's friend. She helped people be more confident in themselves, and she was always a friend to everyone. She changed the way high school friendships were "done". She was a true treasure.
I wish your family peace and comfort during this time.
