Obituary of Mark Flechsenhaar

Mark R. Flechsenhaar passed away August 17, 2010 in Niagara Hospice House. Born September 20, 1925 in Lockport he was the son of Charles and Catherine (Carlin) Flechsenhaar. Mark served in the US Army Air Corp. from 1943 to 1946 receiving the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, World War II Victory Medal amongst several other medals. He worked for NY Telephone in Lockport for 42 years where he was a manager retiring in 1986. Mark is survived by his beloved wife Sally (Kelley) Flechsenhaar of Lockport whom he married on November 22, 1958. He is the loving father of Terry (Judy) Flechsenhaar of San Diego, CA, Kelley (Scott) Carlson and Sarah (Dan) Finnerty both of Lockport. Mark is the dear "Papa" of Jarrett, Tessa Mae, Cameron Flechsenhaar, Marissa, Zachary Finnerty and Jordan Carlson. He is predeceased by his siblings Richard, Edward, Charles, John, William, Agnes Flechsenhaar and Anna Mae Penwright. Mark is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
