Obituary of Harry B. Gill

Harry B. Gill, Sr., 88, passed away April 18, 2017 in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born in Lockport October 24, 1928 he was the son of LeRoy and Anna (Henninger) Gill. Harry served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1947 during WW II on the USS Salamonie. He was a millwright working for Local 289 in Buffalo and was a member of the VFW. Harry was an avid athlete, competing in the Golden Age Swimming Games and placing 1st 2011-2013. He was an avid boxing fan and a local trainer training several local boxers ho went on to win Golden Glove Champions. Harry was predeceased by his beloved wife Virginia (Krystofiak) Gill on January 21, 2017.
Harry is survived by his children Harry (late Carol) Gill, Jr., Donald (Kathleen) Gill and late Nancy Ann Gill and Brian P. Gill; grandfather of nine, great grandfather of 24 and great-great grandfather of five; brother of Phyllis Jogdua, Janice Gill and late Ted, Roy, Robert, Ray, and Sally Gill; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
