Obituary of Warren Salmons

Warren H. Salmons passed away August 13, 2010 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born February 14, 1924 in Lockport, he was the son of the late Charles and Eva Hill Salmons. He served in the US Navy during World War II as a Seaman 1st Class. Warren was a car salesman for Halls Toyota in Lockport, retiring after 31 years in 1987. He was a member of F.O.E. Aerie #825, Elks Lodge #41 and Clinton Club. Warren played the saxophone, enjoyed golf and bowling and was an avid Yankees Fan. He is predeceased by his wife Florence M. Sanders Salmons, who passed away October 1, 1996.
Warren was the father of Patricia (Roy) Hersee of E. Bethany, NY, LTC. Ret. Michael (Teri) Salmons of Columbia, Md., Paul (Shelley) Salmons, Daniel (Denise) Salmons both of Lockport and Cheryl (Paul) Wengrzycki of Medina. Grandfather of Christina Henning, Benjamin Hersee, Michael and Adam Wengrzycki, Heather Honnecker, Justin Lute and Late the Brent Hersee, Brittany Salmons and Christopher Michael Salmons. Great Grandfather of Brandon, Brianna, Kailee and Mya Henning. Warren was the brother of Esther Irving, and the dear friend and companion of Katherine DeNeau.
Friends may call Tuesday 4 to 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 AM in First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to the Church or Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
