Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Coleman passed away Wednesday August 11, 2010 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Lockport on March 29, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Mangold Morris. Betty worked for the Niagara County as the Assistant Personnel Director for 25years, retiring in 1981. She volunteered with the Senior Center and was member of the Lockport Chorale, Kenan Art Council and the Lockport Art Guild. Betty enjoyed painting, singing and traveling. She is predeceased by her husband Lauren Coleman Sr., who passed away in August of 1999. Betty is survived by her children Lauren Coleman Jr. of Lockport and Carol (Late Duane) Pratt of Newfane. Grandmother of Coleen (John) Thilk, Gregory (Michele) Pratt and Laureen (David) Griffin and great grandmother of 9. She was the sister of Eleanor Bale of Lockport. Friends may call Thursday 4 to 8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. Memorial to the American Cancer Society or to a Charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> Friends may call Thursday 4 to 8 PM <h3>Services</h3> A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport <h3>Interment</h3> Interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.
