Diane E. Hemmer passed away February 27, 2017 in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born October 24, 1932 in Lockport she was the daughter of Alfred and Ruth (Whitehouse) Best. Diane worked for B&B Plastics in Lockport in production. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Lockport and enjoyed crocheting, working on crafts and adult coloring books, singing at church, and especially enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Diane will always be remembered as having a heart of gold. She was predeceased by her husband's George Kyle in 1985 and Charles Hemmer in 1998 and her son Ronald Kyle.
Diane is survived by her daughter Barbara Johnson; step-daughter Sharon Pontrello; grandchildren Diane, David, Dewey, Samantha, Joshua, Melinda, and Naomi; nine great grandchildren; sister of Tom (Barbara) Kraft, Arlene Ferguson, and the late Ronald Best, Patricia Hemmer, and Shirley Kraft; also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday 4-6 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where services will immediately at 6 PM. Online condolences at www.pruddenandkandt.com.
