Obituary of Cecelia Tilton

Cecelia L. "Peanut" Tilton, of Lockport, passed away Tuesday August 10, 2010 in Winter Park, Florida while visiting her daughter. Peanut was born July 8, 1944, in Niagara Falls, NY; she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Rose Bishop. Peanut worked for Harrison Radiator, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed collecting things such as Beanie Babies and sitting at the camp fire with friends at Conesus Lake.
Beloved wife of Bill Tilton of Lockport, whom she married January 15, 1966; beloved mother of Elizabeth (Pedro) Vermales of Oviedo, FL and Bill Tilton Jr. of Lockport; grandmother of Tisa Mullins of Middletown, MD. She is also survived by her sisters Virginia (Vic) Cruse of Tuscaloosa, AL, Rosie (Bill) McQueen of Middleport, Florence (Denise) Gilbert of North Tonawanda, and Shirley (Dave) Nelson of Bowling Green, KY, and her brothers Fredrick Bishop, Richard Bishop both of Western, NY and the late sister Edyth Williams and brother-in-law Harry Tilton of Rochester, NY; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home 242 Genesee St. Lockport, Friday August 13, 2010 between the hours of 3:00-7:00 PM where funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 in Peanut's honor. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
