Obituary of Donald F. Hilliker

Donald F. Hilliker passed away peacefully in his sleep at home, surrounded by his family January 30, 2017. Born in Buffalo December 4, 1938 he was the son of Francis and Florence (Ryckman) Hilliker. Donald worked for Simons Saw & Steel where he was a crane operator. In his younger days, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Donald's past times were bowling, horse racing, watching sports and playing cards. He enjoyed summers in Wasager Beach for the past 15 years with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. Donald was a longtime member of the VFW Post 2535.
Donald is survived by his wife Elaine (Verbanoff) Hilliker; father of Kevin (Sheila) Hilliker, Dennis (late Terri Donna) Hilliker, Kathleen (Michael) Cooper, and Colleen (Nelson) DeLine; grandfather of Kevin, Jr., Nicole, Amanda, Laura, Andrew, Samuel, Elijah, Sarah, Madelyn, and Nelson; great grandfather of eight; brother of Patricia Rizzuto, Jean Aloisio, and Judy Weiler; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, Feb. 4th from 1-3 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where services follow at 3 PM. Flowers are gratefully declined.
