Obituary of Katherine Scordalakis

Katherine Scordalakis passed away at 89 years of age surrounded by her loving family on January 29, 2017. Born in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of Anastasi and Ergina Zulia.
She is survived by her devoted husband Steve of 64 years; her three children: Theonie (Kenneth) Schaffer, Andrew (Diane) Scordalakis, Ergina (Michael) Kouimanis; her eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also, her brother Sotery Zulia, her twin sister, Aspasia Mellas, Sophie Georgiadis, and sister-in-law Bessie Zulia, many nieces and nephews, and loving God-child, Iris Preziotte.
She as a school monitor for thirty years. Her family's happiness was her greatest joy.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church Buffalo, NY, or Niagara Hospice.
Viewing at Prudden and Kandt Thursday, February 2nd 4-8 pm with the Trisagion at 7:00 pm. Funeral service is at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Friday, February 3rd 11:00 am. May she rest in peace in the arms of our loving Lord where the choir of the Saints rejoice.
