Norma (Jesson) Swift passed away January 23, 2017 in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born in Barker, NY on May 22, 1925 she was the daughter of Lloyd and Edna (McLeron) Jesson. Norma attended and graduated from Syracuse University in 1947. During her time as a student there she became a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. Norma was a long time member of the Lockport Town & Country Club, the Kenan Arts Council, and the Lockport College Women’s Club. She was an avid golfer and also enjoyed playing Bridge. She was predeceased by her husband Lyle E. Swift, brother Richard McLeron and son Gerald J. Swift. Norma is survived by her children Thomas J. (Cynthia) Swift and Cynthia A. Flynn; and grandchildren Sean T. Swift, Deanna L. (Americo) Varallo, Sarah E. Swift, Victoria R. Swift, Jared E. Swift, and Michael F. Flynn. Relatives and friends may call Sunday, Jan. 29th from 1-4 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where services will be held Monday, Jan. 30th at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
