Barbara M. Truax passed away after a brief illness August 1, 2010 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born July 17, 1930 in Lockport she was the daughter of George and Sarah (Horton) Adams. Barbara worked as an inspector for 32 years at Harrison Radiator. She enjoyed traveling, working in the yard, BINGO and visiting the casino. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Norman A. Truax on July 13, 2010. Barbara is survived by her children Mary Lou (Philip) Clay and James Trombley; grandmother of five and several great grandchildren; sister of Shirley (Leroy) McKeever, Marion (Charles) Mettler, Sue Phillips and the late Dorothy Chambers, George (Geraldine) Adams and Sally (Leslie) Muir; several nieces and nephews; dear friend of Rose Trombley. There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1:30 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.
