Mary Caldwell passed away on Saturday December 24, 2016 in Newfane Health Care and Rehab Center. Born in Lockport on May 4, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Winifred Bloom Ryan. She worked at Sherwood Selpac as a assembler for many years until her retirement. Mary was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, the Rebekah's and the Pocahanta's. She enjoyed doing needlepoint and spending time with her family. Mary is predeceased by her husband Whitney "Junior" Caldwell, who passed away October 17, 2011. Mary is survived by her children, James (Barbara) Caldwell, Wayne (Marla) Caldwell and Joanne (James) Schultz; grandmother of Dawn (Jared) Kolb, Derek Caldwell and Nathan (Carolyn) Schultz; great grandmother of Charles and Lily Schultz, Erik Schultz. Mary was the sister of Winifred (the late Fay) Heschke, Dorothy (the late Robert) Vigrass, Dawn (the late Raymond) Coyle, Donald (Judy) Ryan, Harold (the late Shirley) Ryan and Char (the late Pat) Patrick. She was predeceased by siblings: Betty (the late Gordon) Crane, Anna (Robert) Heschke, Geri (the late Ernie) Winters, Audrey (Wayne) Burgess and Florence (Herb) Kolbe. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday December 29, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Friday morning at 11 AM. Interment will be in Millville Cemetery. Memorials to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY Chapter, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville, NY 14221-7383, would be appreciated by the family.
