Margaret Louise Dickson (Peg) Berry, 98, passed away December 2, 2016 at Niagara Hospice, North Tonawanda, NY. She was born on October 12, 1918 to Allen Redmond and Martha Letitia McConnell Dickson in Berlin Center, OH. Peg graduated from high school in 1935 and shortly thereafter left for Cleveland, OH to begin a very gratifying 10 year career as a medical assistant in a local clinic. In 1945 she married George Richard (Dick) Berry in Ellsworth, OH. They had two sons, James and Dennis. Peg maintained a loving home for her family as Dick's career required frequent relocations, which included moves to Blacklick, PA, Hamilton, NY, Weedsport, NY, North Syracuse, NY, Williamson, NY and Worthington, OH. In 1975 Peg and Dick retired to Buffalo, OH to be near his family. In 1984 Dick died and Peg moved to Canfield, OH to be near her family where she was very involved with her church, community and was a founding member of the Ellsworth Historical Society. In 2011, she moved to Heritage Manor in Lockport. In addition to her husband Peg was predeceased by brothers Maurice and Robert and sister Mary. She is survived by sons James H (Joanne) Berry, Lockport, NY and Dennis Wayne (Blair) Berry, Sanibel, FL. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Peg's strength and positive attitude will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Private grave side services will be held by the family in Buffalo, OH. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
