Obituary of John A. Schuler

Jack A. Schuler passed away November 1, 2016 Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville. Born in Olcott, NY March 31, 1930 he was the son of Albert and Audrey (Meehan) Schuler. Jack served in the US Navy from 1948 to 1952 and worked for Harrison Radiator for 41 years retiring in 1993 as a Tool & Die Maker. He was a life member of the American Legion B. Leo Dolan Post 410, Council 319 Knights of Columbus, the NRA, the NYS Trappers Association and the US Navy LST Association. Jack was also very active in the Angelica, NY area being very involved with the Catholic Church there and serving on the Village Board, member of the Angelica Fire Dept., and the Lions Club of Angelica. He also was a 60 year member of the Niagara County Hunters Safety Program and member of the Niagara County Auxiliary Police. Jack is survived by his children Gregory (Ann) Schuler, Kurt (Diane) Schuler, Bart (Jean) Schuler, Andrew (Kim) Schuler, Jacqueline Watkins, Julia Walker, Maria (Ed) Terpak, Molly (Dominic) Pasceri, and Marianne Schuler; grandfather of several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother of the late Norine Dunker. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Monday, Nov. 7th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Cambria, NY. Donations to the church would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
