Obituary of Karen D. Parmele

Karen D. Parmele passed away October 31, 2016 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born in Lockport on March 3, 1947 she was the daughter of Harold and Marjorie (Andrews) Kagels. Karen was a librarian for 40 years working at the Erie County Public Library in Buffalo retiring in 2008. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lockport, enjoyed traveling and belonged to the Western New York Coaster Club.
Karen is survived by her husband Arthur Parmele, son Andrew "Drew" Parmele and also several couisns.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, Nov. 4th from 10-11 AM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where services will follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
