Obituary of Frances Bleekman

Frances M. Bleekman went to be with the Lord July 21, 2010 after a long illness. Born August 18, 1911 in West Middlebury, NY she was the daughter of Lewis and Mary (nee Lacy) Peck. Frances was the oldest living person in the Town of Elma and participated the town's 150th anniversary parade in 2007 when she was 95 years old. She is also a life long member of Faith Lutheran Church, Elma. Frances was a charter member of the Nature Sanctuary Society of the Buffalo Museum of Science and the Marilla Historical Society. She enjoyed hobbies-out-of-doors, hiking, plant identification, gardening, especially flowers and was a fan of both Terry "Elvis" Buchwald and Alan Jackson whom she has met. Frances was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Warren H. Bleekman in 1993.
Frances is survived by her two daughters Barbara (Butch) Braunscheidel of Lockport and Nance Baranowski of Marilla; grandmother of Rick Dimon, Cindy McClain, Scott Dimon an Steve Baranowski; great grandmother of Rick and Stephanie Dimon, Steward and Lanelle McClain, Kelli, Jenna and Hayley Dimon, Lara and Emma Baranowski.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, August 21st at 11 AM in Faith Lutheran Church, 1230 Bowen Road, Elma, NY 14059. Memorials to the church would be appreciated by the family. Please visit www.pruddenandkandt.com to leave an online condolence.
