Obituary of Charles W. Brown

Charles W. Brown passed away August 6, 2016 in Medina Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. Born April 2, 1932 in Lockport, NY he was the son of Arthur and Dorothy (Gursling) Brown. Charles served in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1955 with the 814th Air Police Squadron. Upon his return fronm service he went to work at Harrison Radiator, Div. of G.M. where he was a General Supervisor, retiring in 1990 after 39 years. He volunteered with the 4-H, AnJo Baseball League, Meals on Wheels and St. John the Baptist RC Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and on the Funeral Ministry. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, golf and spending time with his family.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 61 years Jean M. (Hesch) Brown; father of Kevin (Debbie) Brown and Mark (Terri) Brown; grandfather of Jason (Dana), Jonathon, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Aaron, Tyler (Alexis) Brown and Sally Brown; greatgrandfather of Aiden, Drew and Grace. He was pre-deceased by his brother Stuart Brown and is also survived by his nieces Deborah and Jessica.
There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Tuesday August 9, 2016 at 10 o'clock in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to the church in Charlies memory would be appreciated by the Family.
