Obituary of Raymond Peracciny

Please share a memory of Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Raymond Peracciny Jr., 62, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital after a long battle with end stage renal failure. Born in Lockport June 29, 1954, Raymond was the son of Marie (Persico) Peracciny of Lockport and the late Raymond Peracciny. On May 28, 1993, he married his wife, Carolyn and together they created a family of three beautiful children: Raymond III, Katrina Marie, and Adelina Rose. Raymond lived a full, productive and blessed life. Though he suffered with kidney disease for 20 years, Raymond never gave up and always saw the silver lining in nearly every cloud. Raymond led an adventurous life. Ray was most proud of the production company he formed with his friend and "brother", James "Jimmy" Nichols, called Pera-Nichols production. The production company brought nationally renowned bands such as "Three Dog Night" and "The Animals" to Western New York. Raymond was also an avid Bills fan and never lost faith that they would make the Super Bowl at least one more time. Ray was past director of the Tony Nemi Sportsman League. Ray also loved all kinds of music but the Beatles held a special place in his heart. Raymond was proud of his Italian heritage and his West End upbringing. He was the founding member of the Bright Street crew. He was especially proud of his family of three children and how much they accomplished. Besides his wife, mother and three children and "brother" James M. Nichols, he was predeceased by his precious sister, Marcie, who donated her kidney to Ray in 2003. Ray was also the nephew of jack and Kay Peracciny and Louis Peracciny. He is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends may call Friday, Aug. 5th from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where a service will be held Saturday, Aug. 6th at 10 AM. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Donations to National Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkadt.com.
