Obituary of Eugenia LaPort

Eugenia "Jean" La Port passed away Friday July 16, 2010 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born March 22, 1927 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Clara O'Hara Carlin. Jean was a nurses aide for Briody Health Care Facility, from1972 until 2002. She is predeceased by her husband Robert P. La Port Sr., who passed away December 15, 1977. Jean was a member of the Dale Association and enjoyed line dancing, bowling and spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by her children Linda Wylupek of Medina, Robert P. (Jody) La Port Jr. and Debra Drake both of Lockport. Grandmother of Staci Beecher and Jessica Drake; great grandmother of Alicia Wylupek, Zachary Beecher and Brendan Beecher. She was the sister of the late Catherine Odle, Donald Carlin, Betty Bischkopf, William Carlin and Jenny Dusenbury.
Friends may call Sunday 2 to 6 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will held Monday at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered Monday morning at 10 AM in All Saints Parish at St. Patrick's R.C. Church, 76 Church Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, would be appreciated by the family.

Prayers will held Monday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Monday morning at 10 AM in All Saints Parish at St. Patrick's R.C. Church, 76 Church Street, Lockport.

Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
