Obituary of Richard C. Brown

Richard C. Brown passed away July 10, 2016 in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Buffalo on September 27, 1925 he was the son of Andrew and Olga (Langhoop) Brown. Richard served in the Merchant Marine during WW II. He worked for Harrison Radiator for 25 years where he was an electrician retiring in 1987. Richard was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church and enjoyed sports, golfing, fishing and hunting. He was predeceased by his wife Esther (Hemmer) Brown on January 4, 2015.
Richard is survived by his sons Kirk (Janie) Brown of Lockport and Douglas (Sue) Brown of Newfane; grandfather of Marcie (Christopher) Johnson, Cassandra(Jimmy) Grace, Justin, Joseph, and Jeremy Brown; great grandfather of Mallory and Andrew; brother of the late Robert Brown and Joyce Bergy; also several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 15th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Inurnment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations to the church or to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
