Joice J. Bowers passed away July 11, 2010 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born September 9, 1935 in Tonawanda she was the daughter of Joseph and Mildred (Miller) LaJoie. Joice was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed doing ceramics and crafts. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Bowers in 1983.

Joice is survived by her children William Bowers, Robert (Michelle) Bowers both of Lockport and Debra (William) Dunham of Lyndonville; grandmother of Jaclyn (Shawn) Higgs, Daniel Wright, Timothy (Sondra) Wright, Matthew (Kelly) Wright, William M. Dunham, Bryan Bowers and Robert Bowers, Jr.; great grandmother of eight; sister of Nancy (Joel) Fitch, Josephine Sears both of Barker and the late Richard, Joseph, Walter LaJoie; sister-in-law of Mary LaJoie and Lois LaJoie both of Barker; also several nieces, nephews, her dear companion Robert Cantrell and her faithful dog "Mandy".

Relatives and friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be at 8 PM immediately following. Interment will be in McClure Cemetery in Pennsylvania. Memorials to the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated by the family.
