I was just trying to reach out to Steve, hoping to find that he had beaten this and was once again surrounded by the animals he loved and understood so much better than people. steve was a treasure and I value all of my interactions with him as the fondest memories. He stands as an example of living the life you want as well as the life you need to.
My condolences to his family.
