Obituary of Joleen C. Brewer

Joleen C. Brewer passed away May 9, 2016 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Lockport on September 22, 1934 she was the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Barnwell) Murphy. Joleen was a member of St. John the Baptist and worked in the rectory where she was the cook for several years. She was also a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and St. Joseph's Alumni and was an avid card player. Joleen was predeceased by her husband Gerald "Jake" Brewer on September 18, 1986.
Joleen is survived by her children Deborah Brewer, Diane (Jack) Sheehan, Gerald "Jake" (Maureen) Brewer, and Wendy Kelkenberg all of Lockport; grandmother of Michael, Megan, Molly Brewer, Shanna (Kevin) Klump, John and Bryan Sheehan, and Paige and Alyssa Kelkenberg; great grandmother of Makayla, Colin Klump and Jack Sheehan; sister of Patricia Drury and late Maureen Robison, Paul and Robert Murphy; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, May 13th from 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 14th at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Corwin Cemetery.
