Obituary of David J. Caton

David J. Caton passed away on Thursday April 28, 2016 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls on July 29, 1947, he was the son of the late Richard and Margaret Muldoone Caton. David served in the US Army, from 1967 until 1970, where he received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Marksman M-60, Marksman M-16 and the Sharpshooter M-14 Medal. He retired from Harrison Radiator in 2001 and was a member of the UAW Local 686 and enjoyed riding motorcycle, fishing, gardening, camping and reading, especially his Bible.
David is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen (nee Rettke) Caton; and was the father of Amy (Russ) Bruning, Jennifer (Tom) Vorholzer and the late Heidi Kustreba; grandfather of Janelle, Thomas, Joe, Kaitlyn, Megan and Olivia' great grandfather of Brayden. David was the brother of Pat, Ed, Ron, Kathy, Becky, Betty, Beverly and the late Clara. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday May 2nd, 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Tuesday May 3rd at 10 AM. Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
