I was deeply saddened to learn of Frank's passing. Frank and I had been friends for 50 years; we met at Carborundum, and worked in several different buildings. We never worked directly together since Frank was a Technician and I was a secretary, but we became close friends and remained friends always. Even after Frank retired, we would meet for lunch. I have many memorable pictures from Frank from over the years. On more than one occasion, I would go to Frank and Jean's house for lunch. I remember one particular lunch hour, I had gone home, and when I went to start my car to return to work, it would not start. Who did I call -- Frank!! He used to bring me back little trinkets when he and Jean would visit the Adirondacks. I still have them on my desk at home.
We worked at the Whirlpool Technical Center for many years; Frank would go pick up subs or pizza, and we would go across the parkway to Whirlpool State Park for lunch. My husband would remember the countless times I said, "I had lunch with my friend Frank today." I could sit for hours and relate Frank stories. I had not visited him lately at the Lockport Presbyterian Home because of a serious illness myself, but he was never far from my thoughts. I never forgot his birthday, and would always send him a card. And he always remembered mine and sent a card. And at Christmas, I knew I would always receive a beautiful animal card -- a picture that he had taken himself.
Frank will always be among my most treasured memories. I love you, Frank.
