James Edward Keller passed away Saturday March 19, 2016 at the Niagara Hospice House. Born February 11, 1927 in Buffalo NY, son of Edward Keller and Cecilia Thiel, James served in the Army at the end of WW II being discharged November 19, 1948. James is pre-deceased by his wives Wanda Lewandowski and Bernice Meyers. Father of Christopher J. (Barbara) Keller of West Seneca, Mary Martin (John Shepherd) of Toronto, Joseph J Keller of Lancaster and Matthew (Nancy) Keller of Clarkston, MI, stepfather of Kevin (Penny) Cross on of Texas and the late Kellie (Rob) Koehne. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and6 great-grandchildren. James worked in time study at Trico, retiring after 30 years in 1984. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed handgun target shooting. James was an amateur ham radio operator and loved classical and big band music. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 3to 7 PM, at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Fathers Daniel Young and Augustine Ayaga at 10:00 AM, Wednesday March 23, 2016 at St. Augustine R.C. Church, 8700 Goodrich Road, Clarence Center, NY. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
