John Ryan Obituary
John J. Ryan passed away suddenly June 29, 2010. Born December 17, 1951 in Salisbury, MD he is the son of James Thomas and Amber Freida (nee Lykens) Ryan. John worked for Teals Express in Cheektowaga where he was operation manager. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church where he taught church school for 13 years and also the Knights of Columbus Council 319. John was an Eagle Scout, enjoyed repairing computers and bicycling. He also enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
John is survived by his beloved wife Norma Jean (nee Grundy) Ryan of Lockport; loving father of James Thomas (Jenny Lynn) Ryan and Rachel (Michael) Ryan-O'Sheehan both of Lockport; adoring grandfather of Abbigail, Jameson, Brianna and Braden Ryan, Nicholas and Olivia O'Sheehan; brother of Mary Ann (late Ronald) Boyne of Lockport, Catherine (late Jack) Benton of Salisbury, MD and the late James Thomas Ryan; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday 1-5 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.
