Obituary of Filomena Orlando

Filomena "Fanny" Orlando, 88, passed away on March 6, 2016. She was born on January 5, 1928 in Lockport, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Beatrice (DiMatteo) Mangiafesto. Fanny was the President of Heritage Council, a member of the Alter & Rosary Society, Parish Council and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph's Church. Fanny was predeceased by her husband, Harold "Red" Orlando, who passed away June 26, 2000.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia (Christopher) Dool and Mary Beth (Claudio) Neglia both of Lockport; her grandchildren; Jason (Maria) Dool, Lori Dool, Alyssa (Cody Mays) Neglia, Jamison (Danielle DeMaison) Neglia; her great grandchildren Carter and Ellie Dool. Fanny was the sister of Frances (Ronald) Wygladalski of Georgia and the late Anna DiSalvatore, Mary Benedetti, Joseph Mangiafesto, Lily Benedetti and Frank Mangiafesto. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and her four legged companion Brody.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, March 10th from 3-7PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 11th at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport, NY. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
