Dorothy B. Wall passed away June 22, 2010 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born December 9, 1928 in Schenectady, NY she was the daughter of Charles F. and Orabelle F. (Wood) Ball. Dorothy was a personal care aide with Mercy Home Care, Lockport. A lifelong resident of Lockport she was known for her flower beds in her neighborhood, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was an office and Sunday school teacher. Dorothy enjoyed working out at Lockport Athletic Club where she was in the Silver Sneaker Group, swimming and roller skating. She also enjoyed traveling Dorothy was an active member and officer of the Gasport Jet Set, enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and decorating cakes for over 40 years for all occasions. She was predeceased by her husband Richard D. Wall in 1968 and her one daughter Susan Wall.
Dorothy is survived by her children Kathy (James) Estes, Richard Wall, Edward (Peggy) Wall, Betty (James) Bright, Bonnie (Kent) Houseman, Stephen (Sandy) Wall and Alfred (Jill) Wall; grandmother of twenty and great grandmother of nine; sister of Charles (Louise) Ball, Jeanette (late Francis) Horan, and the late William (Jean) Ball, Grace (late Carl) Seeloff and Mildred (Rodney) Stroyan; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 AM in Calvary Baptist Church, Lincoln & Beattie Aves., Lockport. Interment will be in Hunts Corners Cemetery.
