Obituary of Mary Elizabeth McCarthy

Mary E. McCarthy passed away Friday January 8, 2016 in Heritage Manor. Born July 22, 1923 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Linus and Edith Kenney McDonough. Mary was pre-deceased by her husband Walter "Bud" McCarthy July 30, 1975. She is the mother of Carolyn (Richard) Okla of Austin, TX, Paul (Lynette) McCarthy of Wilson, NY, Ann (Ken) Riley of Centerville, VA and the late Barbara Ennis. Mary is also survived by Timothy (Sally) Ennis and grandmother of Christopher Ennis, Gretchen Okla, Heidi Okla, Erin Hanaburgh, Mathew Riley and Stephen McCarthy; great-grandmother of Oliver, Elliot and Graham Taylor and sister of Gerald (Beverly) McDonough, Anne Clancy, Thomas (Beverly) McDonough, Edith (Michael) Moran and the late Linus, Robert, Lawrence, John, Paul and Donald McDonough. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday January 14, 2016 from 3 to 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday January 15, 2016 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorial to the St. John's Outreach or the Charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
