Obituary of Karen A. Sutton

After a three year courageous battle with cancer, Karen (Lockie) Sutton passed away November 21, 2015 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born March 29, 1961; daughter of Gwendolyn (Pearl) Lockie and the late Robert L. Lockie. Karen is survived by her husband of 28 years, Alan Sutton, son 1st Lt. Phillip (Brittany) Sutton of Colorado, brother Russell (Melissa) Lockie of Lockport, sister Donna Brash of North Carolina, mother Gwendolyn Lockie, and father-in-law Howard (late Maryann) Sutton. Always interested in food preparation; she worked for Pembrook Meadows Restaurant and many years in food service for the Lockport School District. Karen enjoyed trips to the casino, favorite hobby was reading cook books and coming up with outstanding recipes. She found great joy and satisfaction in preparing fabulous meals for family and friends. Karen was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and Mothers of the Night Mother Club. Relatives and friends may call Friday, Nov. 27th from 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 28th at 10 AM in Grave Episcopal Church, 100 Genesee St., Lockport with Rev. Cynthia Sever officiating. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
