Obituary of Jean Sullivan

Jean M. Sullivan passed away July 17, 2009 in the Niagara Hospice House. Born June 18, 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late David S. and Helen Kearny Sullivan. Jean was a graduate of the first nursing class at N.C.C.C., and went to work at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, in Lewiston, where she was the charge nurse of the first Coronary Care Unit, she also worked in the Geriatric Unit. Most recently, Jean was a Nursing Professor and taught for 20 years at San Jose State University. While in California, Jean practiced the Buddhism Faith for many years. She was a member of the Group of 8, and enjoyed painting, working with oil and water colors, photography and bird watching. She is survived by her life partner, Rosemary J. Mann of Gasport and her son, David M. Mann. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, on Friday July 31st at 12 Noon.
