Robert W. Yotter 73, of Lockport, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY. Born January 13, 1937 in Alden NY he was the son of the late John and Mildred Bushover Yotter. SMSGT Robert Yotter retired in 1992 after 35 years with the 1O7th FIG Niagara Falls, NY in vehicle maintenance of which 30 years was spent in Civil Service. Bob was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed attending car shows. He liked doing projects around the house and giving a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. Bob also enjoyed woodworking and family get togethers. Most of all, he enjoyed being part of his grandchildren's life and attending their school and sport activities.
Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Beverly Sims Yotter of Lockport; father of Michele (Anh) Le of Lockport. He was the grandfather of Brandon and Jenna Le of Lockport; brother of Alice (Pete) Carlson of Massachusetts, Katherine Yotter of Florida, Marian (Paul) Lassman of Niagara Falls, Fred (Cheryl), John (Judy) both of Lockport, Barbara (Roger) Schultz of Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday 5-8 PM at the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 AM. Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
