Obituary of Caroline J. Kopacz

Caroline J. Kopacz passed away May 20, 2015 in Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport with her loved one's by her side. Born in Lockport on May 7, 1940 she was the daughter of John and Irene (Smith) Madden. Caroline worked for Lockport Memorial Hospital where she was in dietary from there she went on to work for Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehab & Health Care Center and at Lockport High School. She was a member of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church and the Rapids Senior Citizens. Caroline enjoyed life on the farm with her family, having picnics and four wheeling, going to the casino, playing BINGO, fishing with her friends and family at the Thousand Islands and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be in our hearts and will be missed very much.
Caroline is survived by her husband of 57 years Lawrence Kopacz of Lockport; mother of Lawrence (Lisa) Kopacz of Lockport and Theresa (Jonathan) Bernacki of Akron; grandmother of Sinead, Zachariah Pankow and Ashley, Christian Kopacz; great grandmother of Xander and Stella Podry; sister of the late Charlie Madden, Barbara Bundrock and Beverly Wagner; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, May 22nd from 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 23rd at 10 AM in St. Augustine's RC Church, 8700 Goodrich Rd., Clarence Center. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
