Carmella S. Vinson passed away Thursday April 23, 2015 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Lockport on Mar 4, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Lena Carbone Scott. She worked in production at Harrison Radiator for 35 years retiring in 1983. Carmella was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church, UAW Travel Club and Retirees Club, and the VFW Ladies Auxilliary; and she loved to travel. Carmella is predeceased by her husband Carl Vinson who passed away December 29, 1990 and her grandson Eric Vinson. She was the mother of Carol Bowen of Gasport, Charlene (Rich) Bevilacqua of Lake Harmony, Pa., Cheryl (George) Lee of Huger, SC, Carl (Theresa) Vinson of Lockport and Michael (Myuki) Vinson of Japan. Carmella was the grandmother of nine and great grandmother of six. She is predeceased by all of her siblings, Roy Scott, Joseph Scott, Genevieve Scott, Jay Kuchey, May Rosselli and Rose Houston. Carmella is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday May 18, 2015, 3-7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at 11 AM in All Saints Parish Oratory, 391 Market Street, Lockport. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, would be appreciated by the family.
