Elsa M. Ciarfella Fink, 77, entered into rest Saturday, June 13, 2009 after a long illness. Born January 28, 1932 in Lockport she was the daughter of Anthony and Maria (Spema) Ciarfella of Lockport formerly of Torre de Passeri, Italy. Elsa married Donald E. Fink, who predeceased her in 1997, at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Lockport. Elsa was a graduate of Lockport High School and she worked in the office of Pies Furniture and Harrison Radiator before running two successful businesses with her husband; Fink's Tavern in Gasport and Fink's Restaurant and Lounge in Middleport. Elsa worked as a tax preparer for the last several years. She loved family, friends, fishing, preparing taxes, knitting, cooking, baking, bingo, casinos, watching Lifetime Channel, reading and story telling. She was a member of the Hartland Volunteer Fire Company where she belonged to the Women's Auxiliary of which she served as the treasurer.

Elsa is survived by her children Donna Eick (Jeff) of Lockport, Jeanine (Brian) Fitts of Gasport, Joe (Connie) Fink of Holley, NY, Melinda Fink (Richie) of Gasport, and son-in-law Wally; grandmother of Mandy (Jamie) Sandofini, Meghan Eick, Greg (Suzie) Eick, Jeremy (Jessica) Doran, Michael Doran, Bryan and Jenna Fitts, Tiffany and Joey Fink, Angel and Donald Hangartner; great grandmother of Jamie, Brenton, Selenah, Isaac, Isabella and Destiny; sister of Mildred Delmonte, Henry (Nancy) Ciarfella, Anthony Jr. (Joy) Ciarfella, Antoinette Payne, Norma (Leon) Harling and several nieces and nephews; also survived by dear friends Sylvia, Sharon, Lydia, Ida, Loretta, Nancy, Pauline, Jeanette and all of you that she loved so much.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM.
