Dwight N. "Chat" Chattaway, 72, a resident of Lisle, IL since 1987, formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL. He was born March 30, 1936 in Monongahela, PA. Chat graduated from Ohio Military Institute in Cincinnati, OH and received his master's in psychology from California State College. He was Vice President of' Hinckley & Schmidt from 1970 until his retirement in 1998.
Loving husband of Lynda L. (nee Verguson) Chattaway of Lisle, whom he married January 15, 1974; beloved father of Julaine (Joe) Rich, Blake N. (Colleen) Chattaway and the late Chat N. Chattaway; adored grandfather of four; devoted son of the late John N. and Bertha Chattaway; dear brother of K. Eloise Harmon; fond uncle to five; and great-uncle to six.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 11 AM in Hartland Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, Northwestern Office of Development, 750 North Lake Shore Drive, 9th Floor, Chicago, IL 60611, Directed to the MacVicar MD PI Fund.
