Violet Rose McDonald Passed away May 12, 2009. Born October 29, 1936 in Buffalo she was the daughter of the late Karl and Viola (Pless) Fitzner. Violet worked and retired from Harrison Radiator where she was a production control technician. She was a member of the Rapids Senior Citizens Group, Lockport City Eucher League and the First Baptist Church, Lockport. Violet was an avid euchre player all over Lockport. She will be remembered as being a proud parent and grandparent to all, her candid opinions and ability to make you laugh will always be cherished and remembered by those who were lucky enough to know her.
Violet is survived by her two sons, Ronald K. (Margaret) McDonald and Michael T. (Susan) McDonald; grandmother of Michael E. (Sarah Beakman) McDonald, Mindee M. (Stan) Wesolowski, Lisa M. (Charlie) Buttery, Brian T. McDonald, Meghan M. McDonald, Lindsay Winter and Chelsea Hoehman; great grandmother of C.J. Buttery and Madelyne Wesolowski; sister of Shirley (late Vito) Ciliberto, Olga (Ed) Rehm and Willie (Emily) Fitzner; sister-in-law of David (Mandy) McDonald and Marilyn (John) Meyers; also survived by several nieces, nephews and her former husband Ronald R. McDonald.
