Obituary of Henrietta Magner

Henrietta P. "Etta" Magner passed away May 8, 2009. Born July 28, 1917 in Lyndonville, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Cora Belle (Cain) Peters. Etta earned her Bachelors Degree from SUNY at Buffalo State College and worked as a clerk at The Hobby Shop, Lockport. She founded Opportunities Unlimited of which Etta was named in 2005, Distinguished Woman of New York State. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Magner in 1982. Etta is survived by her loving children Michael (Louise) Magner of Tonawanda, Kathleen (Wayne) Danley of Albion and Gerald Magner of Lockport. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Etta was the sister of Lila Rice, John Peters, Ruth Newman, Katheryn Conover, Frederick Peters, Robert Peters and Evelyn MacDonald. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her dear friend Clifford Sipple. Relatives and friends may call Monday 2-4 &amp; 7-9PM at Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 Noon .
