Obituary of Marjorie Clarke

Marjorie O. Clarke passed away May 2, 2009 in Briody Health Care Facility. She was born June 14, 1915 in Lockport and was the daughter of Myron and Georgia (Sheehan) O&amp;#39;Connor. Marjorie graduated from Buffalo State Teachers Col1ege and taught in local schools for several years. She then worked for Harrison/GMC as a material analyst until her retirement in 1977. On October 18, 1947 she married Kenneth Clarke at the Lockport Presbyterian Church. He predeceased her in May of 1968. Marjorie belonged to the Dale Center, Delta Sigma Phi Sorority and the YWCA where she conducted the 29 and Holding group for many years. She received the Women of the Year award in the 1980's. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and her beloved white German Shepherds. She traveled extensively with her good friend the late Betty Searles. She was the beloved Aunt of Patricia (Joseph) Colavecchia, Georgia Brass, Kathleen (Joseph) Ventrilla and Michael (Patti Marotta) Tilton. Also Richard (Carol) Drum, Gary (Barbara) Drum, Marilyn (George) Johnson, Fay Sesney, Richard (Gloria) Clarke and many wonderful great nieces, great nephews, friends and helpful neighbors. She is predeceased by her sister Dorothy Tilton. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 4-8 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Donations to Save-A-Pet, PO Box 114, Newfane, NY 1408 would be appreciated by the family <h3>Visitation</h3> Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 4-8 PM i <h3>Services</h3> Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM. <h3>Interment</h3> Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery
