Obituary of William McClellan

William L. McClellan passed away April 14, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born March 5, 1933 in Ransomville he was the son of Leslie and Opal (Perry) McClellan. William served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 in the Korean Conflict for 18 months. He worked for 30 years at Harrison Radiator in the Tool & Die Room retiring in 1985 which was also where he completed his apprenticeship. William was a member of the VFW and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing for the Harrison Radiator league, attending musicals and plays, and camping especially at Wildwood.

William is survived by his wife Carol (Compton) McClellan and his son Michael McClellan. William is the brother of Robert (Patricia) McClellan, Patricia (Jim) Stojak and brother-in-law of Shirley (Donald) Butcher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Friday 10-11 AM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will immediately follow at 11 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240-0631 would be appreciated by the family.
