Burton Clark Hall passed away April 5, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane. Born June 5, 1926 in Lockport he was the son of the late William C. and Marion (Sweet) Hall. Burton was a 1944 graduate of Lockport High School and earned a training certificate from Cornell. He had 45 years of service with the Eastern Artificial Insemination Cooperative, Inc. Burton retired June 30, 1991; he loved working within the farming community. He was a lifetime member of Warrens Corners United Methodist Church where he served as a trustee and honorary trustee. Burton enjoyed gardening, the swimming pool ("Are you going for a swim?" "Want something to eat?" Want a cookie?"), being with his family, going out for a fish fry and loved to laugh and joke. Burton will always be remembered as being a kind, caring, loving gentleman.
Burton is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Helen (Weinheimer) Hall whom he married November 25, 1950; devoted father of Cindy (Mark) Dodge, Nancy (Butch) Reinhardt, Marcia (Doug) Rathke, Susan (Kevin) Gorman, Jeffrey (Peggy) Hall and Diane Hall; cherished grandfather of Renee (Brian) Zapp, Eric (Angela) Helfrich, Melissa Helfrich, Katie, Ryan and Megan Gorman, Will Hall, and Sara and Matt Reinhardt; loving great grandfather of Nathan and Adie Snow, Vanessa Zapp, Ethan Bronschidle and Isabella Helfrich; brother of the late Calvin Hall; brother-in-law of Allan & Jean Weinheimer; also survived by several nieces, nephews and special friends Jim & Shirley Coulter.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday evening 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM in Warrens Corners United Methodist Church, 5293 Stone Road, Lockport, NY 14094. Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials to the church or to the Cambria Fire Department, 4631 Cambria-Wilson Road, Lockport, NY 14094 or to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite 6, Williamsville, NY 14221 would be appreciated by the family.
