Earl Roger Lenhart known by his friends as "Earl the Pearl" changed his address to Heaven Friday March 20, 2009. Born February 8, 1922 at the family homestead on Irish Road, Pendleton, NY, the son of Henry and Dora Goodman Lenhart. He was a graduate of Lockport High School in 1940. He was a gifted sign painter and faithful employee of Ulrich Sign Co. for over 50 years retiring in 1997. Up until his later years he was an active member involved in many ministries and elder of the Lockport Alliance Church. He also was past president of the Bear Ridge Cemetery Association. In his spare time he was an avid artist and drawer, also enjoying gardening and baseball.
He is the loving husband of Agnes "Ann" Browning Lenhart and the late Helen Brunck Lenhart; father of the late Ronald E. Lenhart; stepfather of Tyler (Letha) Flynn of Columbus, Ohio, Barry Flynn of Brooklyn, New York and the late Geoffrey Flynn.
He also leaves six grandchildren, his brother Burton (Carol) Lenhart and daughter in law Lorraine Lenhart both of Lockport.
Friends may call Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services to be held Wenesday morning March 25, 2009 at 10 o'clock in the Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Road, Lockport, NY 14094. Interment will be in Bear Ridge Cemetery. Memorials to the Church would be appreciated by the family.
