Marcia Geckler Obituary
Marcia F. Geckler passed away March 17, 2009 after a long illness. Born June 17, 1934 in Lockport she was the daughter of the late Francis and Loretta (Gaughan) McGlynn. Marcia worked as a Medical Technician at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Children's Hospital of Buffalo and also at Erie County Medical Center. She was a member of the Historical Society of Early American Decoration, Kenan Center Quilters Group and St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church. Marcia enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, sewing and refinishing furniture.
Marcia is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert C. Geckler, DDS of Lockport. She is also survived by her two sons Jeffrey (Lori) Geckler of Centerville, OH and James Geckler of Minneapolis, MN. Marcia is survived by one grandson Michael Geckler.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Flowers gratefully declined, memorials to the St. John Outreach Center, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY 14094 or to Sr. Helen's Food Pantry, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.
