Richard Brauer Obituary

Richard H. Brauer passed away March 13, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born May 6, 1927 in Lockport he was the son of the late Harold and Frances (Yerks) Brauer. Richard served in the US Navy as a Seaman 1st Class and was stationed on the USS Cleveland from 1945 to 1946. Richard was the co-owner/operator of the Niagara Auto Body Supply. He was a member of the B. Leo Dolan Post 410 American Legion and the Senior Citizen Center of Newfane. Richard enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing and playing cards.


Richard is survived by his loving wife Jean F. (Zapp) Brauer of Lockport; devoted father of Larry (Jackie) Brauer, Jeannine (John) Benoit both of Lockport, Alan (Beverly) Brauer of Atlanta, GA, Janet (Theodore) Dudley of Anthony, FL, David (Sonya) Brauer of Casselberry, FL; cherished grandfather of twelve and great grandfather of five; brother of Elinor (John) Latt of Crescent City, CA; also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials to the B. Leo Post 410 American Legion, 42 Niagara St, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.

Tuesday, March 17th 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home


Services

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 18th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.


Interment

Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
