Obituary of Ollie Pompey

Ollie James Pompey passed away suddenly March 10, 2009. Born November 24, 1950 in Birmingham, AL he was the son of Ollie Lee and Alice (Smiley) Pompey. Ollie served in the US Army from 1971 to 1973 ,serving in Vietnam. He worked in production at Delphi retiring in 2000. He enjoyed wrestling and cars. Ollie is survived by his step-daughter Heather Jean Doxey of Lockport; brothers Michael Pompey of Greenville, SC, Lenox T. Pompey, Lee Pompey both of Buffalo,NY Ossie Pompey of New York City and sister Shelia Williams of Oakland, CA; grandfather of Brittany Doxey, Kendra Carnes and Nathaniel Carnes; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and dear friends Linda Doxey, Rodney Lilley, Debra Olivate and Leon Martin.
Friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday at 1 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
