Danielle J. Lechner passed away suddenly Saturday, May 1, 2010, in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Newfane, on January 25, 1974, she was the daughter of Daniel and the late Lois Cunningham Spencer. Danielle worked as a waitress since she was 16 years old, most recently she had been working at Denny's for the past six years. She was very active in Relay for Life, which she was a team Captain for Lockport's Hopeful Hearts. Danielle enjoyed gardening and spending time with her sons and husband of 15 years, Edward Lechner. She also loved spending time with nieces and nephews, Aunt "D" was their favorite.
Besides her husband, Edward, and father, Daniel, Danielle is survived by her sons, Anthony and Christopher. She was the sister of Tina (David) Dugos, Christine (Robert) Ribbeck, Carla (Mark) Gibson and Nicholas (Kristine Nye) Spencer. Danielle was the daughter-in-law of Geraldine and Carl Schaab and sister-in-law of Lisa Lechner. She is also survived by several dear nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to www.relayforlife.org/lockportny for Team Hopeful Hearts would be appreciated by the family.
