Marilyn L. Covell passed away February 22, 2009 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Lockport she was the daughter of the late Henry and Marie (Klienwachter) Mente. Marilyn worked at Flora Hatch Dress Store as the bookkeeper/business manager and also she was a secretary for Lockport Senior High School of which she retired from. Marilyn was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she belonged to the Ladies Aide Society and the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Lockport Memorial Hospital Guild and the YWCA. Marilyn also enjoyed gardening and will always be remembered as being an outstanding cook.
Marilyn id survived by her husband Rodney Covell of Lockport. She is also survived by her sister Arlene (Phillip) Marsharey of Sparks, NV and sister-in-law of Robert H. (Ida) Covell, Paul E. (Margaret) Covell and Peter E. (Janice) Covell. Marilyn is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Trinity Lutheran Church Abiding Memorial Fund, 67 Saxton Street, Lockport, NY 14094 or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
